| An Italian villa, La Casa Giallo has been lovingly restored by its current owners. Its original owners sold their own wine and olive oil, and the ground floor storerooms where they stored their huge vats of wine have been opened out to provide two spacious living rooms, one with wood burning oven and both with views across the valley. The large kitchen/breakfast room at the front of the house also has views across to the mountains. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge freezer In addition a fourth space provides an alternative dining area with a music centre, with double doors leading out to the side of the house and to one of the outdoor terraces used for eating. There is a large outdoor pizza oven for those who’d like to try their hands at the local culinary craft. Upstairs, French windows lead from each of the two master bedrooms at the front of the house to a full width balcony, the ideal spot from which to watch the kestrels soar or swifts gather, either with a glass of wine or coffee. There are also two twin bedrooms, a large bathroom and additional shower room. Outside, terraces at the front and to the side of the house offer a choice for eating and relaxing and if the season is right you can reach out to pluck a plum or fig from one of the several trees in the garden. The 15 metre swimming pool at the end of the upper garden is stunningly located so whether you’re in the pool to swim off any over-indulgence or simply to cool down, a few steps to a lounger is rewarded with the perfect view. |

| Rising behind the house the hillside is clad with chestnut trees and locals are often to be seen passing La Casa Giallo on foraging or hunting trips. From the house lead various tracks, a gentle stroll along any of them offering an alternative way to relax in the local surroundings. Fresh warm bread, along with other groceries, can be bought at the one shop in the local village, a 5 minute drive away while there is a wonderful restaurant in the next village only a couple of minutes further on, which is amazingly economical. The medieval town of Fivizzano with its weekly market, restaurants, cafes, general stores, and a world-renowned music festival, is just 10 minutes by car. |
